AWS Open-Sources Strands Harness, a Cost-Efficient AI Coding Agent
AWS has open-sourced Strands Harness, a general-purpose AI agent built on its Strands Agents SDK. It ships with file, shell, and web tools alongside context management, memory, persistent sessions, prompt caching, and multi-agent delegation out of the box.
Across six benchmarks, Strands Harness achieved comparable accuracy at 45% lower cost than Claude Code and Codex. On Terminal Bench 2.1, it scored 69.7 running Fable 5 versus Claude Code’s 61.8, at $56.29 per trial compared to $248.05.
The default model routing runs through Amazon Bedrock, but a single line of configuration swaps it for Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or a local Ollama endpoint. Install via pip or npm and deploy on any cloud.
GitHub Security Lab Ships an AI-Powered Autonomous Fuzzing Agent
GitHub Security Lab has released Taskflow Fuzzing, an autonomous fuzzing pipeline for C/C++ projects. Point it at a GitHub repository and an LLM picks entry points, writes AFL++ harnesses, grows coverage, triages crashes, and suggests patches.
The pipeline uses plateau detection to decide when to stop: if two consecutive iterations each gain less than 1% line coverage, it moves on. Time budgets per iteration double from 30 seconds upward, totaling about 32 minutes per target. Structure-aware mutators and dictionaries follow OSS-Fuzz conventions.
The default model is Claude Sonnet 5. Because the LLM’s chosen build commands run directly on the host without container isolation, the project should only run inside a disposable environment like a GitHub Codespace or a throwaway VM.
Dataiku Launches Agent Management for Cross-Platform AI Agent Oversight
Dataiku announced Agent Management on September 24, a standalone product that discovers every AI agent an enterprise runs regardless of which platform built it, measures business and technical performance, and flags agents by risk tier.
Most large organizations track their software inventory but cannot say the same about their AI agents. Agent Management closes that gap. Pricing is per instance annually, with monitoring metered per agent. General availability is planned for October 2026.
Dataiku also expanded Cobuild, its natural-language agent for building AI projects. Both announcements came at Dataiku Succeed, the company’s annual flagship conference.

Salesforce Unveils AIforce and Claudeforce at Dreamforce 2026
At Dreamforce 2026 (September 15-17), Salesforce introduced AIforce, a composable interface layer that brings Salesforce data and workflows into whatever tool a team already uses, whether Claude, Slack, or Lightning. It sits atop a four-layer stack: Data 360, Customer 360, Agentforce, and AIforce itself.
Claudeforce, built with Anthropic, ships as a prebuilt MCP server inside Claude with 37 sales skills. It pairs Claude’s reasoning with governed Salesforce data, and vendors cannot train on customer data. Claudeforce is in open beta.
Salesforce also announced Koa, its own CRM reasoning model, seven job-ready agents for sales, service, and supply chain, and the Enterprise AI Harness for securing, monitoring, and governing AI agents across the organization.
Qualcomm and Apple Renew Global Patent License Agreement
Qualcomm announced the renewal of its global patent license agreement with Apple on September 24, effective April 1, 2027. The original six-year agreement signed in 2019 had been extended through March 2027 via Apple’s two-year option, and the renewal ensures continuity.
Neither the duration nor financial terms were disclosed. Apple accounts for more than a fifth of Qualcomm’s revenue, making it Qualcomm’s largest customer. Qualcomm earns licensing revenue based on handset unit shipments.
This renewal covers patents only. The separate 5G modem chip supply agreement was not renewed, as Apple continues its transition to in-house modem silicon.

Feather Robotics Raises $7.6M to Build a Developer-First Robot Platform
Feather Robotics has raised a $7.6M pre-seed round led by Gradient Ventures. Founded in 2025 by Hoa Mai and Parsa Bakhtiari, the company builds a modular bimanual mobile robot that lets developers bring their own AI models.
Starting at $29,990, roughly half the price of Unitree’s H2 Edu, the robot supports models from Generalist, Skild, Physical Intelligence, and others. Units have been deployed as restaurant cooks in Japan and lab cleaners, pushing revenue past $1 million.
The pitch mirrors the Android model for smartphones: physical-AI companies buy a shared hardware platform instead of building their own, dramatically lowering the barrier to real-world deployment.
Kasvu Therapeutics Closes EUR 30M Series A, Finland’s Largest in Drug Development
Helsinki-based Kasvu Therapeutics has closed a EUR 30 million Series A led by Hadean Ventures, the largest Series A ever raised by a Finnish drug development company. Tesi, Innovestor Life Science Fund, and the Finnish Drug Discovery Center also participated.
The lead candidate, KTX-0141, is a TrkB receptor potentiator designed to deliver the neuroplasticity benefits of psychedelics without activating the 5-HT2A receptor that causes hallucinations. It targets major depressive disorder.
IND/CTA-enabling studies are underway, with clinical trials planned for the second half of 2027.

Z.ai Open-Sources ZCode, an AI Coding Agent Built on GLM-5.2
Chinese AI company Z.ai has open-sourced ZCode under the MIT license, a full-featured AI coding agent powered by its GLM-5.2 model. The release includes desktop app, web client, backend services, Agent CLI, TUI, and runtime source code. It positions itself as a free challenger to Cursor, Claude Code, and GitHub Copilot.
Three pillars underpin the pitch: deep first-party integration with GLM-5.2, aggressive pricing below Western competitors, and MIT-licensed open weights for enterprise self-hosting. Features include a multi-agent workspace, Goal Mode, Skills, MCP servers, and remote workspaces.
Shortly after its September 21 release, users reported security issues including Git history uploads. Z.ai remediated the problems and re-released the code. The repository has accumulated roughly 5,000 GitHub stars.
Paperclip Crosses 81K GitHub Stars as an AI Agent Orchestration Tool
Paperclip, an MIT-licensed AI agent management tool, has surpassed 81,000 GitHub stars since its March 2026 launch. Built as a Node.js server with a React UI, it lets teams orchestrate multiple AI agents from a single dashboard.
The system imposes organizational structure on AI workforces through org charts, per-agent monthly budgets, approval workflows, and immutable activity logs. It is agent-agnostic: bring Claude Code, Codex, OpenClaw, or any other agent, assign goals, and track work and costs.
With nearly 15,000 forks, Paperclip has become a go-to choice for teams that want to run agents on their own infrastructure with their own API keys, without lock-in to a specific AI platform.

Loftia, a Solarpunk MMO, Launches Early Access on November 3
Qloud Games’ solarpunk life-sim MMO Loftia enters Steam Early Access on November 3. The announcement came during the PC Gaming Show Tokyo Direct alongside a trailer introducing its floating-island world and community-driven gameplay.
The game supports PC and Mac at a base price of $29.99, with a 17% launch discount bringing it to $24.89. An Epic Games Store release is also planned.
Loftia blends cozy gameplay with MMO-scale multiplayer, targeting fans of Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley who want the same warmth in a massively connected world.
Planet Zoo 2 Arrives October 13 on PC, PS5, and Xbox
Frontier Developments’ Planet Zoo 2 releases on October 13 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The original was PC-only, so the sequel marks the franchise’s console debut.
The headline addition is aquatic and avian habitats. Players can build freshwater and saltwater aquariums and aviaries, and release grown animals into wildlife reserves.
Underwater and flying ecosystems were the most-requested features from the first game’s community. Combined with the console expansion, Planet Zoo 2 significantly broadens both the simulation’s scope and its audience.
