Apple Reports FQ4 2026, CEO John Ternus Takes His First Earnings Call
Apple released its FQ4 2026 results on November 2. This marks the first earnings call for CEO John Ternus, who succeeded Tim Cook on September 1, joined by CFO Kevan Parekh.
Wall Street consensus expected roughly $113.4 billion in revenue and $1.99 EPS. In the prior quarter (FQ3), Apple posted $109.4 billion in revenue (up 16% YoY) and $2.02 EPS. The company’s own guidance called for 9% to 11% year-over-year revenue growth.
This quarter serves as the first full-quarter report card for Apple Intelligence. The market is also watching whether the $100 iPhone price hike affected demand. Note that iPhone Duo falls outside the FQ4 period (June 28 to September 26).
AMD Q3 Results Due November 3 — A Bellwether for AI Chip Demand
AMD reports Q3 2026 results after market close on November 3. The company guided Q3 revenue to approximately $13.0 billion (plus or minus $300 million) with non-GAAP gross margins near 56%.
Consensus estimates sit around $13.1 billion in revenue. In Q2, AMD beat expectations with non-GAAP EPS of $1.66 versus consensus of $1.55. Management signaled accelerating data center sales in the second half.
The stakes are higher than usual. Intel’s recent PC-market warning triggered a 29% single-day stock drop and roughly $1 trillion in semiconductor market cap losses. AMD’s results will help determine whether the weakness is Intel-specific or an industry-wide problem.

Amazon Q3 Revenue Hits $201.9B, AWS Grows 39% — but $77B CapEx Weighs
Amazon posted Q3 revenue of $201.9 billion (up 12% YoY), narrowly missing the $202.26 billion consensus. Net income came in at $20.7 billion, or $1.89 per share.
AWS revenue reached approximately $46 billion, up 39% YoY, putting it on a $184 billion annual run rate. However, quarterly CapEx surged to $77 billion (from roughly $35 billion a year earlier), pushing trailing 12-month free cash flow to negative $42.4 billion.
Q4 revenue guidance sits at $240 to $247 billion (12% to 16% growth). Amazon held its 2026 full-year CapEx outlook at approximately $220 billion. The central question for investors remains when AI infrastructure spending will convert into returns.
KYEC Commits Up to $1.4B for US Chip Testing Facility, Backed by NVIDIA Prepayment
Taiwan-based semiconductor testing firm KYEC (King Yuan Electronics) is building a chip testing facility in the United States worth up to $1.4 billion. The board approved the investment on July 10.
On October 13, KYEC signed a prepayment agreement with NVIDIA under which NVIDIA pays upfront to reserve future US testing capacity. The funds go to KYEC and its US subsidiary, AeternZ Semiconductor Testing Corp.
KYEC opened its first overseas facility in Singapore in May for $78 million, focused on AI chip testing. The US investment signals a broader global build-out of back-end semiconductor infrastructure driven by surging AI chip demand.
Tower Semiconductor Posts Record $526M Q3 Revenue — Silicon Photonics Surges
Tower Semiconductor reported Q3 revenue of $526 million (up 33% YoY), a quarterly record. Gross profit reached $179 million, nearly doubling from $93 million a year ago. Operating profit hit a record $127 million (excluding non-recurring items).
The silicon photonics business reached an annual revenue run rate of $680 million as of Q2, up from $180 million a year earlier. Tower has secured $1.3 billion in silicon photonics contracts for 2027, along with $290 million in advance payments tied to capacity reservations.
Q4 revenue guidance is approximately $600 million (plus or minus 5%). The CEO stated that silicon photonics production capacity will grow fivefold from Q4 2025 levels by end of 2026.

Marble Cognition Raises $3.75M Pre-Seed for Observation-Based AI Agents
Munich-based AI startup Marble Cognition announced a $3.75 million pre-seed round co-led by Heartcore Capital and Seedcamp on November 2.
